This website contains family tree for branches of my family tree. (You probably received a direct link for a specific branch of my family. e.g. AndersonFamily).

There are four types of web pages that display the information I've discovered about my family as well as information passed on to me by various family members.

Because the family tree can get really huge, I've added a couple of features to make it easier to navigate. If anything in this document is unclear or you have other questions, my email address can be found at the bottom of this page.

There are four types of web pages. A page that lists the family by generation, an alphabetical page that lists every family member by name, and two trees (one that is drawn from the top down and one drawn from the left to the right.) Below is an overview of notable features for each page type.

(A text file that follow the rules of the standard created by The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints can also be shared if you're interested. (It is called GEDCOM or .ged file.)

This page lists the members of each generation and their children.

• Just beneath the header of the page is a menu listing each generation in the family. (for example, 'Gen. 2') Clicking (or tapping) on the generation number will jump you to the section listing the family members in that generation.
• If there are notes available for a person they are displayed by clicking on the Notes: link. Clicking on this link displays the notes. Clicking a second time will hide the notes.
• If you click on a child's name the page will jump to the section listing that child's information and, if applicable, their children.

There are two trees on the site. These trees are graphs with the root family member (for example, John H. Anderson) at the top (or left) of the page. The page will open with the root family member at the center of your web browser.

• Because these full tree can be so large, the main graph will only lists the first and last name of each person.
• Each person's name is enclosed in a box with their name, birth, and death dates, if available. These boxes are color coded by gender.
• A star icon () indicates that the person is, as far as I understand, in the family bloodline.
• Couples are displayed in a single box. If a person has had more than one spouse or significant other they will all be included in the family box.
  
  
  
• When you click (or tap) on a family box a new tab or window is opened that displays a tree for that family, "The Family Subtree". The Family Subtree is a top/down graph the more specifically displays a family subtree's graph.

The family sub trees display the descendants of the family box on the main graph.

• These pages display the full name of each person.
• Each person's name is clickable. This jumps to their personal page. It's the same as clicking on that person's name on the Alphabetical List. (see the section on the Alphabetical List.)
• A link icon () indicates a person is the spouse or significant other of the connected family member. This indicates the difference between a family member's child or partner.

This page lists every family member covered by the website alphabetically by last name. When you click on a person, you jump to a page that summarizes the information for a person in the database. If there are any electronic copies of documentation (e.g. military records, death certificates, etc.) they can be seen on these pages.
