Willie was born on August 21, 1936 in Quitman, Brooks, Georgia. He is the son of William (Willie) Mitchell Hall and Annie Ruth Hall.
He died on October 20, 2013 in Parkland, Florida.
His wife was Barbara Anderson Hall Buford, whom he married on September 23, 1961 in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee. Their two known children are Jennise Elaine Hall ( 1962 - ) and Annjennette Hall Cochran ( 1964 - ).
